Brief: Re-brand a growing veggie burger company as they branch into big box supermarkets.
Concept: When I first began working with Go Veggies, they were selling their burgers predominately in farmers markets in the Buffalo area, struggling to get supermarkets to carry their product. My task was not only to recreate their logo, but create a series of marketing materials to bring to pitch meetings at supermarkets. With the help of my materials, you can now find Go Veggies in Wegmans Supermarkets and many other WNY markets.

Hearth & Home
Brief: Create the full identity for a local bakery/kitchen opening in Buffalo, NY.
Concept: Cultivate a feeling of huddling around a fireside with family and friends. The establishment should serve as a home away from home for its patrons. A place where people will come to do work, connect with old friends, and engage with their community. This feeling is achieved through a logo created with hand done type and an overall lack of harsh lines. Hand done doodles of food imagery are used to convey that the establishment is a bakery/kitchen without having to label it with words and gives the establishment a playful feeling. Brown craft paper is the main material for all paper products to further cement the artisan, hand crafted nature of the brand.

Brief: Redesign the menu for a well established cafe and juice bar in Buffalo, NY.
Concept: Ashker's has a menu which features many, many items. Previously, they were using a double gate fold menu. The size was 11x17 prior to folding and text was on all 8 panels. Customers were often flipping, folding, and unfolding the menus trying to navigate through the content and struggling to do so. To remedy this, I decided it would be best to stick to a one page - double sided - no fold, menu. I wanted the menu items to be divided into clear sections, and I wanted the customer to see a clear path through the items while reading it.
The establishment is a home-grown family business that is heavily involved in the community. To communicate this through the menu, I took inspiration from vintage diner menu's - borrowing elements, and updating them in a way that is uniquely Ashker's.
Ashker's Juice Labels
Brief: Create a label for the daily cold-pressed juices at Ashker's Juice Bar and Cafe in Buffalo, NY.
Concept: Ashker's branding has traditionally been chalk drawings and signs hand written by the owners themselves. For the labels, I wanted to stay true to this in concept. The cafe was already using mason jars for their bottling, and wanted something that could easily be implemented without changing their existing procedures. I settled on dissolvable sticker labels that we can print in house. For the font on the labels, I stretched the text of each letter individually to fit the circle, and give them a whimsical feeling.
